At the Light Car Company we consult with you on your vision, whether that be to maintain the vehicles’ originality and patina but ensure a comfortable and safe drive or complete transformational restoration work in preparation for a world-class Concours d’Elegance event.

All mechanical work is undertaken on site from start to finish which enables us to work with efficiency and ensure work is completed in line with our high standards at every stage.

On arrival, we complete a detailed examination of the vehicle, keeping photographic records throughout the project. We are renowned for our expert fabrication and welding work which is also done on site.

Engine Rebuilding

With vast experience rebuilding hundreds of engines across all marques of cars and motorcycles, we offer a range of bespoke services on site from a refreshing tune up, to full rebuilds and blueprinting using OEM parts where possible.

Our speciality is pre-80s Ferraris, however our experience covers a broad range of cars including Ferrari 246 Dino, Ford Mustang, Fiat Dino, Jaguar E type, Ferrari 275, Ferrari 250 California, Alfa Romao and 250 GTO to name a few.

Welding & Fabrication

We are known for our expertise in welding and fabrication. This skill is critical in the world of restoration in order to make, recreate or repair those hard to come by parts. With a fully equipped fabrication shop onsite we can carry out all forms of welding be it TIG, MIG, MMA or Gas. Panel, chassis repairs and modifications are all done in-house on by our experienced staff.

We can fabricate reproduction or custom aluminium fuel and header tanks, bespoke panels, exhaust systems.

Interiors

All aspects of trimming are undertaken such as full re-trim, headlining, hoods, carpets, tonneau covers etc. by our in-house trimmer.
